Friends of Meredith Public Library final book sale of the year!
Three day book sale hosted by the Friends of Meredith Public Library! Thousands of books, sorted, cleaned and arranged in boxes on tables by category for your shopping convenience! Volunteers from the membership of the Friends of Meredith Public Library, a 501c3 non-profit, assist guests during all sale hours answering questions, making sure the books are neat, in the category box they belong and easy to review.
The book sale is a community effort! We enjoy volunteer help from the Scout Troop of Meredith, the Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough Academy Football team members and students from the Inter-Lakes National Honor Society to name a few, who help with the set up and breakdown, moving tables and boxes and boxes of books from the library storage area to the Function Room.
There is no admission but donations are accepted. All proceeds from the book sale fund speakers, the after school program, the summer reading program and various classes and events for all ages.
Book donations during the year are welcome. Please take them to the front desk. We do not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, out-or-date-travel guides or magazines. And, please, no musty, wet or damaged books – we will not include them in our sale.
The location is the Meredith Public Library, 91 Main St., Meredith. There is ample parking at the back entrance parking lot off High Street and the sale in the Function Room is wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator reaching all floors if visitors would like to browse our beautiful and historic library building.
Make a day of it – we have so many great restaurants – several new this year. Check out the shops on Main Street and in Mill Falls Marketplace – all within walking distance of the Library!
