Come learn about the dozens of statues that popped up around town during Tilton’s Golden Age in the late 1800s. A phenomenon that started in France called “Statumania”, quickly spread to this side of the pond and it’s mentioned in the newspaper that Tilton may have had as many as 150 at one time! Although only a handful remains today, we have photographic proof and written accounts which state that there might be some truth to this incredible claim! Come find out! This program will be presented by John Ciriello of the Tilton Historical Society.
